Maori Interest Group AGM & Research Day

MIG will hold their AGM & Research day on Sunday 4 July 2021 from 10am to 4pm at 159 Queens Road, Panmure. Parking is available on Queens Road with access up a flight of stairs. There is also access from the back of the building from Gifford Lane where a parking ramp leads to the back door.
 
The Speaker will be Elena Fowler  ‘Whakawhanautanga - making connections - using DNA’.
The programme is as follows:
10.00am – Doors open
10:30 – 11.30am AGM
11.30 – 12-30pm General research (We really want to know from people present what their interests and issues are)
12:30 – 1pm Lunch (bring your own – tea and coffee provided)
1pm  –   2pm Speaker: Elena Fowler 
2pm – 4pm research
 
Committee members will be available to assist people with research and learning about the library. We will also have other Library staff available to help with research in the afternoon.
 
The whole day is a FREE event open to anyone with an interest in learning how to research their whakapapa. It is sponsored by the NZSG Māori Interest Group. You do not need to be a member of the NZSG or the Māori Interest Group to attend.
