Te Reo Newsletter Part 3
The Māori Land Court Minute Books (MLCMB) and its online index (https://collections.library.auckland.ac.nz/mlcmbi/) contain a wealth of iwi history, te reo Rangatira and whakapapa. I would consider them one of the most valuable resources to have come from post signing of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
CAN YOU HELP YOUR ROOPU?
Owen and Lorraine are currently in the process of updating our Whakapapa Research Guide for the next print run and we need a volunteer to go through the booklet to compile a glossary of the Māori terms used for the benefit of beginners (including a short list of other basic words).
Auckland Family History Expo 2022
Come along and meet us in person. Don Hayward will be on duty on our stand on Sunday 14th so come and meet the man who writes the really cool articles.
Trevor, Sue and Lorraine will be there all weekend and Jill Owler will be on Sunday as well.
